Meet the Business Owner
Heidy and Gonzalo and both from Santiago, Chile, South America where you meet friends and family at local coffee shops to have great conversations and share time together, people are not so much on their laptops, they are talking face to face. They wanted to replicate that feeling here in the US. to create a space that was for the community to gather and create memories around a great cup of coffee. When thinking about this idea, Gonzalo tried an Ayahuasca session for the first time, and a big black elephant appeared in is vision. It was a sign: Elephants are noble community driven animals, they celebrate births and mourn their dead, the older one in the herds protects and sacrifices for the rest, and they have perfect memories. It all made sense, a symbol for a place for the community to gather and to create memories- and Black Elephant Coffee was born.
